Trust MW to find a way to marry Japanese flavors with European techniques with nonchalant ease. Beneath a crunchy mochi meringue shell hides black sesame ice cream, matcha-flavored tapioca and some azuki beans that harmonize into a just-sweet-enough symphony. It’s definitely not as aesthetically interesting as MW’s more typical fare, but it’s indulgent without the intense bombast of, say, the in-your-face chocolatey MW Candy Bar. We recommend pairing this dessert with one of MW’s more Asian-inspired entrees: Mochi-Crusted Opakapaka, anyone?
