Neeson Kills Everyone, Again

Just when it looks like ex-covert agent Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) is about to reclaim some semblance of a normal life and stop getting everyone around him kidnapped, his ex-wife is murdered. He’s caught at the scene, giving the cops the wrong idea. It looks like he spends the rest of the film dodging police while trying to keep his daughter (Maggie Grace) safe from some unseen enemy. The Taken trilogy basically consists of Mills effortlessly outsmarting and killing anyone who gets in his way, so we’re pretty sure this one will be more of the same. After all, Mills has a particular set of skills. Just check out his LinkedIn profile: linkedin.com/in/bryanmillssecurity Taken 3 opens in wide release Jan. 9. >>

PAIGE: That should have been dumb, but when Liam Neeson talks, I go, “That’s fine. He’s doing his thing. I believe in him.”

NICOLE: But what was taken? His wife’s life?

PAIGE: His normal life was taken? His freedom was taken?

CHRISTINA: Isn’t this just the plot of The Fugitive?

JAIMIE: Did he win an Oscar? Not even for Schindler’s List?

JAMES: No. So that was taken.

NICOLE: I would have liked it better if his dog was taken. Something else has to be taken and he has to find it.

JAMES: His good name.

NICOLE: But we already know how this is going to end, right? They are going to find out who really did it. And then the CIA and the FBI are going to congratulate him.

PAIGE: No, I feel like he has to die. This is like his last stand.

JAMES: I think Forrest Whitaker is probably behind the whole thing.

JAIMIE: You think he is framing Liam Neeson?

JAMES: Yeah.

JAIMIE: I haven’t seen any of these. My mom wanted me to see the first one because she wanted me to be aware and be scared of people who might kidnap me. But watching a movie with Liam Neeson is not going to help me not get kidnapped.

NICOLE: I feel like your mom should watch it so she could develop a special set of skills so she can rescue you … It didn’t make me more cautious. It made me thankful that my parents are not trained killers.

JAIMIE: I wish my parents were trained killers.

NICOLE: No, because then people would want to take me.

CHRISTINA: I think in the first one, though, she just got kidnapped by random people. Some human trafficking ring.

JAIMIE: Watching a movie with Liam Neeson in it is not going to help me in the event that I am stolen.

PAIGE: But I like Liam Neeson. He’s so old and reassuring.

JAIMIE: I like him, too, but why does he keep doing weird movies? He plays depressing really well. He has those sad eyes.

NICOLE: I like these movies.

JAIMIE: OK, maybe I should watch the first one.

CHRISTINA: The first one was an enjoyable movie to watch. I wouldn’t say it was a good movie, but I enjoyed watching it. It looks like the daughter might get kidnapped again in this one? Why is she, like, the most kidnap-able person? Why does everyone want to kidnap her?

NICOLE: Because her hair color doesn’t match her eyebrows. That annoys me.
