Venues throughout Chinatown, including Bar 35, Downbeat Diner & Lounge, Nextdoor, The Manifest, Black Cat Tattoo and Old Ironside Tattoo, held the inaugural Sailor Jerry Festival in honor of the late tattoo artist. Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins formerly owned a tattoo parlor in Chinatown and was noted for his influential, Hawaii-inspired work.
