Letter From The Editor

Metro-Christina-MugOne of the aspects of Metro that consistently has been our favorite is that we are able to source quality content from you, our readers. We love reading your writing in A Shared Space (like this week’s wonderful essay, Six Miles A Day, by Trelaine Ito on Page 3) and seeing your photos in Snapshot (go look at Channey Tang-Ho’s photo on Page 3, because puppies). We also receive wonderful submissions for our Metrogram section (Page 23).

In that spirit of collaboration, we talked with three friends-turned-business- co-founders, who combined their varied skills to create an innovative business called For The Good. Read the whole story on Page 8. Meanwhile, music columnist Roger Bong tells us about his latest gig, in which he teams up with a few other DJs (Page 17). Tech columnist Christa Wittmier also has info on a useful app that shows how collaboration can benefit everyone when it comes to driving (Page 7).

This issue also is full of secrets. On Page 14, Ali Resich takes us inside one of Chinatown’s tastiest hidden gems, Bruno’s Forno. Plus, Anton Glamb shares his experience at the latest of a secret party series (Page 5).

We hope that you continue to share your writing and photos with us. We look forward to seeing more.
