Call For Photos
University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Pacific New Media currently is seeking entries for its eighth annual survey exhibition of Contemporary Photography in Hawaii, which is designed to display original works by Hawaii photographers of all skill levels.
The exhibition is open to images that use any photographic process — from digital imaging to mixed media.
All submitted pieces must have been created within the last two years and cannot have been previously exhibited.
Selected images will be on display at The ARTS at Marks Garage from March 29 to April 9.
All entries must be submitted by Feb. 19. For an entry form and submission details, visit outreach.hawaii.edu/ pnm. For questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 956-3422.
Tapestries created by Honolulu artist Deborah G. Nehmad will be on display at Honolulu Museum of Art from Jan. 29 through May 8 in her exhibit WASTED.
The exhibit’s underlying meaning is a call to action — each tapestry has intricately woven details representing statistics on gun violence.
