Root Beer Float
Karen Winpenny, bar manager
Bethel Street Tap Room
“It brings you back to when you were a child. You feel like you’re going back in time, but (the drink) does have alcohol in it. We make sure people are very aware of that when they order it.”
“You just put a little Coke and ice cream (with the whiskey), and it tastes exactly like a root beer float. It’s for somebody who likes to have a little bit of alcohol, but it’s not real strong like a martini. It’s really good after dinner as a sweet drink. It also goes with our sweets in our Let Them Eat Cupcakes shop, so if you want to have a root beer float and a cupcake, we have sweets for everybody.
