Local filmmaker Dane Neves has created a family-friendly web series, Not Another Puppet Show.

The series parades in local celebrities — and has them interact with a joke-telling puppet. Guest celebrities so far have included photographer Dallas Nagata White, Honolulu Pulse spokeswoman Laura Grace D’Angeli, ukulele player Aidan James, The Green bassist Brad Watanabe and former Miss Hawaii contestant Julianne Chu (pictured).

Neves’ work in film — which also includes Giant Monsters Attack Hawaii! — has earned him more than 15 awards.

The entire Not Another Puppet Show series can be found at youtube.com/ spoilerpuppets. A second season currently is in the works.

Starring Foxy Knoxx, Miss Catwings, Lola Love, Lolli Anomaly, The Aphrodisiacs and more, the soiree takes the stage at 8 p.m. Dec. 19, 8 p.m. Dec. 20 and 7 p.m. Dec. 21. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each showing. Tickets cost $25 for general admission and $35 for VIP.
