Paul Mitchell the School Honolulu turns getting pampered into an all-around feel-good experience from 5 to 9 p.m. April 21 at its Kaimuki location (1123 11th Ave.).

During its Super Service Night, all haircuts, manicures, pedicures, massages and more not only will be available at discounted prices, but all proceeds also will go toward Kapiolani Children’s Miracle Network, along with national organizations that include Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Morris Animal Foundation, Fran Drescher’s Cancer Schmancer Foundation, Magic Johnson Foundation, Gary Sinise Foundation, No Limits, Food4Africa, Habitat for Humanity, The Thirst Project, Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking and Andrew Gomez Dream Foundation.

Now in its 12th year, this “fun-raising,” as Paul Mitchell Schools phrases it, includes 100 of the chain’s schools around the world to raise money for charitable organizations. To date, it’s raised a total of $13.4 million.

“It’s all about giving back to the community,” says fun-raising director Valerie Mariano. “(These professionals) are in the community, they make you feel good about yourself, they make a difference, and they want to go ahead and give back.”

Last year, Paul Mitchell the School Honolulu raised more than $30,000, and this year, it hopes to raise $50,000.

Patrons wishing to pamper themselves can choose from future professionals or professionals.

“Professionals are those who have their certifications,” explains Mariano. “Future professionals are the students.”

The event also features a babysitting area, and refreshments will be available.

Reservations are required to 734-7007 ext. 3. For more information, visit paulmitchellschoolsFUNraising.org.
