Phil Potter and Anna Sachs — the too-dreamy-for-real-life singer-songwriter couple that Metro featured in its May 20 issue — celebrate the release of their single Right Back at Doris Duke Theatre, starting at 7:30 p.m. The night also will launch Foreseeable Future’s
Kickstarter campaign to support a full-length album. The band will perform alongside Matt Melendez and Amanda Frazier. Tickets cost $10 for members or $15 general admission.

Meet a slew of comic creators at Amazing Hawaii Comic Con. Among them are prolific Marvel icon Stan Lee, and the subject of last week’s Metro feature, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman. Tickets start at $25, and kids under 10 get in free.

American rapper MURS — which according to an interview with LAist stands for “Making Underground Raw S***” — stops at The Republik for a show set to start at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $25, with a $5 increase the day of the show.

All-girl rock band Crimson Apple (which works with Brandon Apeles, who Metro featured in its Aug. 26 issue) celebrates the launch of its first CD, Hello, at 7 p.m. at Hawaiian Brian’s. The night is free, open to all ages and also will showcase performances by DJ Zilla, Amanda Frazier, Erin Smith and Aidan James.
