Ballet Hawaii presents the classic holiday tale of Clara and her nutcracker, who comes to life and takes her on an adventure that entails battling mice and meeting the Sugar Plum Fairy, among other antics. Hawaii Symphony Orchestra provides Tchaikovsky’s score. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $35-$99.

The four-piece band is back right now for a limited time to promote their new CD, Beyond Paradise.
