‘EYE OF THE BEHOLDER: ANNUAL DOCENT EXHIBITION’

Museum docents are helpful guides for patrons, overflowing with knowledge and insight about a particular exhibit or art piece. But they, too, can have artistic ambitions of their own. Honolulu Museum of Art celebrates the work of its own docents and docents-in-training through Eye of the Beholder, hosted at Honolulu Museum of Art School’s Mezzanine Gallery. Expect to see pieces like this one, Red Dress, by Sara Wakayama. The ninth annual docent exhibition is open through Jan. 31.
