Angelo Pietro is back — and possibly better than ever. Now located on 12th Avenue, the Japanese-Italian fusion joint has removed some menu items (goodbye, Puttanesca, we will miss you) to add on some new dishes. One such entree is the Smoked Salmon & Mushroom Lemon Cream Sauce, Conchiglie. All those in favor of tart, tangy flavors will fall in love, as capers dance within lemon cream sauce and marry well with the smoked salmon. To complement the shell-shaped pasta dish, Pit also comes with a slice of garlic bread — perfect for soaking up all of that lemon caper sauce. And for those who always opt for the Raw Potato Salad — don’t worry, it’s still on the menu.

We here at Metro quarrel amongst ourselves, sometimes, about where the best okazuya on the island are. Fukuya definitely is among the top contenders with its filling and always tasty lunch staples. It’s the best when you can head down to the shop and build your own bento (nori chicken for the win!), but Fukuya does offer a few preplanned options for the indecisive. We like Bento C — a musubi, inari sushi, fried chicken, hash, hot dog and chow fun. It’s starchy, meaty and tasty all around. Mmmm.
