Haleiwa Sunset

Metro-102214-Snapshot

By Chelsea Akamine

Why are people always taking pictures of sunsets? Because you don’t need to dress them in fancy clothes or direct them to look a certain way. Because you can be at the beach, in the mountains, or on a ranch in Haleiwa and capture its good side every time. Or maybe it’s because they’re just so damn nice to look at, and you just can’t get this light and these colors anywhere other than Hawaii.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep. But I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep. —Robert Frost
