Oke Punch

“(I use) fresh lemongrass from Chinatown. The hibiscus are dried hibiscus from Mercado De La Raza. I also put in rose water, preserved rose petals and rose syrup, so it’s super floral.

“I’m from California so (the drink is) influenced by agua fresca, but also I was playing around with the okolehao because it’s from Oahu and has a lot of floral notes. It’s sugar cane, and it also has ti leaf in it. The spirit is a little bit sweet, so the punch is a little bit tart, and it really balances it out.

“(Oke Punch is) good for our venue because we do a lot of live music, so it’s a great party drink. It’s refreshing, but secretly strong. The moonshine is no joke, but it’s still approachable.”
